Self-awareness for better health



How often do you stop to raise your self awareness? If you have a car, I would bet that you know its consumption, meaning, how many kilometres your car does with a certain amount of litres of petrol.


Now let me ask you...when was the last time you took some time to become aware of how many calories you need to consume for your specific measurements, levels of activity, age and goals. It is easy then, to consume the wrong quantities or the wrong types of food that your body needs as fuel to perform at its best.


Compared to a car, the human body is way stronger! You can feed it with the wrong fuel for longer than what you can to a car, before it breaks down. However, when a car breaks down, you can go and buy a new one… but that doesn’t work the same way with your body. You can only live your current life with the body you have right here, right now. And we’re lucky to have such strong and adaptable bodies, but why test it to the limits? Why wait until you have symptoms that something isn’t working well anymore, to then take action?


As times are changing in the world, it is time we change our approach towards health as well and become aware of our bodies needs so that we can prevent instead of wait until a cure needs to happen!


It is time to raise your self-awareness and stop guessing. Each one of us is different… If you’ve been following general advice and it’s not working for you, that doesn’t mean there is something wrong with you. That means you need to look at yourself and realise that you are unique and you have unique requirements. The same way the parts for your car will be more reliable, compatible and endurable when from its original make, you will also benefit from having a bespoke plan for your health and fitness.
